Position Summary
VanAire is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of our Engineering Valve Automation Hardware (EVAH) product line. This role is responsible for ensuring high standards of quality, reliability, and safety while aligning engineering designs with manufacturing capabilities and customer requirements.
This position may be filled at multiple levels (Engineer I, Engineer II, or Engineer III) depending on experience and demonstrated capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain, and apply engineering standards for design, materials, and finishes related to EVAH products/li>
- Perform and interpret Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in accordance with company and industry standards
- Design and develop products with a focus on quality, reliability, and safety
- Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure designs align with production capabilities
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, customers, and software development team to ensure product and system alignment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and responsiveness
- Participate in industry committees and stay current with relevant standards and best practices
- Represent VanAire at trade shows, conferences, and through technical publications
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Strong computer proficiency including:

- 3D CAD software
- FEA software
- ERP systems
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with Operational Excellence principles (efficiency, quality, responsiveness)
- Experience developing or maintaining engineering standards
- Experience in the design of weldments
- Experience in the design of bolted joints
Leveling & Compensation
This role may be filled at one of the following levels based on experience:

Final level and compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated competencies.
