Wastewater Welding Fabricator

VanAire Inc. in Gladstone is hiring a Wastewater Welding Fabricator for first shift (Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM). This position involves MIG and TIG welding, fabrication, and assembly of wastewater equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred
• TIG pipe and MIG welding experience preferred
• Ability to pass welding certification tests (AWS/ASME)
• Ability to meet physical requirements

Preferred:

• Wastewater equipment experience
• Pump and motor alignment experience
• Stainless steel welding experience

Responsibilities

• MIG and TIG weld stainless and carbon steel
• Read blueprints and follow specifications
• Fit, tack, weld, and assemble components
• Inspect weld quality
• Use shop tools and fabrication equipment
• Maintain production schedules
• Keep work area clean and safe
• Occasional travel required to assist on installations or service

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 75 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods
• Climb ladders and work in tight spaces

Pay & Benefits

• $18–$22/hour depending on experience
