VANAIRE WASTEWATER SYSTEMS
Sanimax
We visited with our clients at Sanimax in Green Bay, Wisconsin to chat about the two VanAire DAFs that they have in place.
Sanimax is unique from our other customers in that they are not only cleaning up their wastewater before delivering it to the local municipality, they are extracting resources from the wastewater and using those resources as a revenue stream.
Green Bay, Wisconsin has a rich history of meatpacking, in fact the local professional football team, the Green Bay Packers, originated n 1919 when the Indian Packing Company agreed to sponsor a pro football team under the direction of Earl “Curly” Lambeau.
Only three miles away from Lambeau field, Sanimax takes the byproduct from the local meat industry and extracts the valuable tallow from the material. “Sanimax receives about 3 million pounds of raw material a day. This equates to about 400,000 gallons per day of wastewater treated through our system.” States Sanimax’s Erik Adkins.
